Parts and what they mean
- Turns of the solenoid (cut through) (परिनालिका के फेरे (काट में)) — Current comes out of the page at the top and goes in at the bottom of every turn.
- Field lines (क्षेत्र रेखाएँ) — Between neighbouring turns the little circles cancel; inside they add up into a strong, straight field.
- P: interior mid-point (P: आंतरिक मध्य-बिंदु) — Field is uniform, strong and along the axis.
- Q: exterior mid-point (Q: बाहरी मध्य-बिंदु) — Field is weak and along the axis. For a very long solenoid it → 0.
