Parts and what they mean
- Electrons injected into the p-side (p-ओर अंतःक्षेपित इलेक्ट्रॉन) — Electrons from the n-side cross the depletion region and become minority carriers on the p-side. Their concentration is highest at the junction edge, so they diffuse towards the far end of the p-side.
- Holes injected into the n-side (n-ओर अंतःक्षेपित होल) — Holes from the p-side cross and diffuse towards the far end of the n-side.
- Minority level far from the junction (संधि से दूर अल्पसंख्यक स्तर) — Far from the junction the minority concentration falls back to its normal value.
- Depletion region (अवक्षय क्षेत्र) — Narrow under forward bias.
- p-side (p-ओर) — Electrons are minority carriers here.
- n-side (n-ओर) — Holes are minority carriers here.
- Axes (अक्ष) — Minority carrier concentration against distance.
