Parts and what they mean
- Plasma (प्लाज़्मा) — At about 10⁸ K the fuel is a gas of positive ions and electrons — a plasma.
- Magnet coils (चुंबक कुंडलियाँ) — No container can stand such a temperature, so in devices like the tokamak strong magnetic fields keep the charged plasma away from the walls (beyond the NCERT text).
- Vacuum vessel (निर्वात पात्र) — A doughnut-shaped (toroidal) chamber; the plasma must not touch its walls. Confining the plasma is the main challenge of fusion power.
