Parts and what they mean
- Atom (परमाणु) — Radius about 10⁻¹⁰ m. Almost all of it is empty space with electrons moving around.
- Nucleus (to scale it would be invisible) (नाभिक (पैमाने पर यह दिखेगा भी नहीं)) — Radius about 10⁴ times smaller than the atom, so its volume is about 10⁻¹² of the atom’s volume.
- Nucleus, magnified (नाभिक, आवर्धित) — Holds all the positive charge (+Ze) and more than 99.9% of the atom’s mass.
- Proton (प्रोटॉन) — Positively charged nucleon (+e).
- Neutron (न्यूट्रॉन) — Neutral nucleon, discovered by Chadwick in 1932.
