Parts and what they mean
- Positive charge +q (धन आवेश +q) — Moving with velocity v inside the field B.
- Velocity v (वेग v) — Direction of motion of the charge.
- Magnetic field B (चुंबकीय क्षेत्र B) — Makes angle θ with v. Force magnitude = qvB sin θ.
- Force F = q v × B (बल F = q v × B) — Right-hand (screw) rule: turn v towards B through the smaller angle — the thumb/screw advance gives F for +q.
- Negative charge −q (ऋण आवेश −q) — Same v and B, but the charge is negative.
- Velocity v (वेग v) — Same velocity as in (a).
- Magnetic field B (चुंबकीय क्षेत्र B) — Same field as in (a).
- Force on −q (reversed) (−q पर बल (उलटा)) — For a negative charge the force is opposite to that on +q.
- Plane of v and B (v और B का तल) — F is always perpendicular to this plane.
