Parts and what they mean
- Thin spherical shell (radius R, charge q = 4πR²σ) (पतला गोलीय कोश (त्रिज्या R, आवेश q = 4πR²σ)) — All the charge sits on the shell surface.
- Gaussian sphere outside (r > R) (बाहर गाउसीय गोला (r > R)) — Encloses the whole charge q: E × 4πr² = q/ε₀, so E = q/(4πε₀r²) — as if all charge were at the centre.
- Point P outside the shell (कोश के बाहर बिंदु P) — At distance r from the centre.
- Field outside: radial (बाहर क्षेत्र: त्रिज्य) — E = q/(4πε₀r²) r̂ for r ≥ R.
- Gaussian sphere inside (r < R) (अंदर गाउसीय गोला (r < R)) — Encloses no charge, so the flux is zero → E = 0 everywhere inside.
- Point P inside the shell (कोश के अंदर बिंदु P) — The field inside a uniformly charged shell is zero.
