Parts and what they mean
- Coil C2 (with battery and key) (कुंडली C2 (बैटरी और कुंजी सहित)) — Its current I₂ grows when K is pressed and falls when K is released.
- Coil C1 (with galvanometer) (कुंडली C1 (गैल्वेनोमीटर सहित)) — Both coils are stationary — yet a current is induced here whenever I₂ changes.
- Tapping key K (टैपिंग कुंजी K) — Press → momentary deflection; hold → zero; release → momentary deflection the other way.
- Battery (बैटरी) — Drives the current in C2.
- Galvanometer (गैल्वेनोमीटर) — Its pointer returns to zero immediately after each kick.
- Iron rod along the axis (अक्ष पर लोहे की छड़) — Inserting it increases the deflection dramatically (it greatly increases the flux linking C1).
- Current I₂ in C2 against time (समय के साथ C2 की धारा I₂) — Rises quickly, stays constant while the key is held, then falls to zero.
- Induced emf in C1: ε₁ = −M dI₂/dt (C1 में प्रेरित emf: ε₁ = −M dI₂/dt) — Non-zero only while I₂ changes; opposite signs at press and release.
