Parts and what they mean
- Large coil, radius r₂ (बड़ी कुंडली, त्रिज्या r₂) — Carries I₂; field at its centre is μ₀I₂/2r₂.
- Current I₂ (anticlockwise) (धारा I₂ (वामावर्त)) — Anticlockwise current on the page → field at the centre points out of the page.
- Field near the centre (⊙, nearly uniform) (केंद्र के पास क्षेत्र (⊙, लगभग एकसमान)) — Because r₁ ≪ r₂, B₂ is taken constant over the small coil.
- Small coil, radius r₁ (छोटी कुंडली, त्रिज्या r₁) — Φ₁ = πr₁² B₂ = (μ₀πr₁²/2r₂) I₂, so M = μ₀πr₁²/2r₂.
- Radius r₂ (त्रिज्या r₂) — A bigger outer coil gives a weaker field at the centre and a smaller M.
