Parts and their functions

• Primary producers: 5,842,000 (प्राथमिक उत्पादक: 58,42,000) — Nearly 6 million plants (grasses) at the base.
• Primary consumers: 708,000 (प्राथमिक उपभोक्ता: 7,08,000) — Herbivores — far fewer than the plants.
• Secondary consumers: 354,000 (द्वितीयक उपभोक्ता: 3,54,000) — Carnivores feeding on the herbivores.
• Tertiary consumers: 3 (तृतीयक उपभोक्ता: 3) — Only three top carnivores are supported by about 6 million plants — the pyramid is upright.
