Parts and what they mean
- Energy profile of the reaction (अभिक्रिया का ऊर्जा आलेख) — Reaction coordinate shows how energy changes as reactants turn into products.
- Activated complex (C) — top of the barrier (सक्रियित संकुल (C) — अवरोध का शिखर) — Unstable arrangement of highest energy; it can go on to products or fall back to reactants.
- Ea — energy of activation (Ea — सक्रियण ऊर्जा) — Extra energy reactants must have to form the activated complex. Larger Ea → slower reaction.
- ΔrH — enthalpy change of reaction (ΔrH — अभिक्रिया की एन्थैल्पी परिवर्तन) — Depends only on the energies of reactants and products (here negative: exothermic).
- Energy released as the complex breaks up (संकुल टूटने पर मुक्त ऊर्जा) — Some energy is released when the activated complex decomposes to products.
- Reactants (अभिकारक) — Starting energy level.
- Products (उत्पाद) — Final energy level.
- Potential energy vs reaction coordinate (स्थितिज ऊर्जा बनाम अभिक्रिया निर्देशांक) — NCERT Fig 3.7.
