Parts and what they mean
- Straight line through origin (मूल बिंदु से सीधी रेखा) — p = KH·x: partial pressure of the gas is directly proportional to its mole fraction in the solution. NCERT’s data: HCl gas in cyclohexane at 293 K.
- Slope = Henry’s law constant KH (ढाल = हेनरी स्थिरांक KH) — Higher KH at a given pressure → LOWER solubility. KH depends on the gas and rises with temperature.
- Axes: x and p (अक्ष: x और p) — x-axis: mole fraction of the gas in solution; y-axis: partial pressure of the gas above it.
