Effect of pressure on solubility of a gasगैस की विलेयता पर दाब का प्रभावEffect of pressure on solubility of a gas

Parts and what they mean
- Piston (पिस्टन) — Pushing it down compresses the gas, so pressure above the solution rises.
- Gas above the solution (विलयन के ऊपर गैस) — Gas molecules keep entering and leaving the liquid — a dynamic equilibrium.
- Dissolved gas molecules (घुले हुए गैस अणु) — In (b) more molecules hit the surface per second, so more dissolve until a new equilibrium.
- Solution (liquid) (विलयन (द्रव)) — Solubility of the gas rises with the pressure above it (Henry’s law).
- Higher pressure (अधिक दाब) — Compressing the gas to a smaller volume = more gas particles per unit volume.
