Parts and what they mean

• Co(III), octahedral (Co(III), अष्टफलकीय) — x + 3(0) + 3(−1) = 0 → x = +3. A neutral complex.
• NH₃ (ammine) (NH₃ (ऐम्मीन)) — Three ammine ligands (a).
• NO₂⁻ (nitrito-N) (NO₂⁻ (नाइट्रिटो-N)) — Three nitrito-N ligands (b).
• fac isomer (फलकीय (fac) समावयव) — The three identical donor atoms occupy the corners of one triangular face (shaded); each pair is cis (90°).
• The meridian (ध्रुववृत्त (मेरिडियन)) — A half-circle through two opposite corners and one corner between them — like a line of longitude on a globe.
• mer isomer (रेखांशिक (mer) समावयव) — The three identical donor atoms lie around a meridian: two of them are trans (180°).
