Parts and what they mean
- Co(III) (Co(III)) — Three en ligands × 2 donor N = coordination number 6.
- N donor of en (en का N दाता) — Each pair of N joined by an arc belongs to one en.
- en chelate ring (en कीलेट वलय) — Three chelate rings wrap the metal like the blades of a propeller.
- Mirror plane (दर्पण तल) — The right structure is the exact reflection of the left one.
- Δ form (Δ रूप) — Chelates form a right-handed helix (IUPAC symbol Δ). Whether this one is d or l is found experimentally with a polarimeter.
- Λ form (Λ रूप) — Left-handed helix. Δ and Λ are enantiomers: same formula, same bonds, non-superimposable mirror images; they rotate plane-polarised light equally but in opposite directions.
