Parts and what they mean
- [Ni(CO)₄] — tetracarbonylnickel(0) ([Ni(CO)₄] — टेट्राकार्बोनिलनिकल(0)) — Tetrahedral, Ni(0), diamagnetic. Grey ball = C (donor), red ball = O.
- [Fe(CO)₅] — pentacarbonyliron(0) ([Fe(CO)₅] — पेन्टाकार्बोनिलआयरन(0)) — Trigonal bipyramidal: 3 equatorial + 2 axial CO.
- [Cr(CO)₆] — hexacarbonylchromium(0) ([Cr(CO)₆] — हेक्साकार्बोनिलक्रोमियम(0)) — Octahedral.
- [Mn₂(CO)₁₀] — decacarbonyldimanganese(0) ([Mn₂(CO)₁₀] — डेकाकार्बोनिलडाइमैंगनीज़(0)) — Two square pyramidal Mn(CO)₅ units joined by a Mn–Mn bond (purple).
- [Co₂(CO)₈] — octacarbonyldicobalt(0) ([Co₂(CO)₈] — ऑक्टाकार्बोनिलडाइकोबाल्ट(0)) — A Co–Co bond bridged by two CO groups; each Co also has three terminal CO (2 + 6 = 8 CO).
- Bridging CO groups (सेतु CO समूह) — Each of these two CO is bonded to both cobalt atoms.
