Parts and what they mean
- Adenine–thymine pair (ऐडेनीन–थाइमीन युग्म) — Adenine (left) forms two hydrogen bonds with thymine (right): N–H···O and N···H–N.
- Guanine–cytosine pair (ग्वानीन–साइटोसीन युग्म) — Guanine (left) forms three hydrogen bonds with cytosine (right).
- Hydrogen bonds between bases (क्षारकों के बीच हाइड्रोजन बंध) — They form only between specific pairs (A with T, G with C), so the two strands are complementary.
- Bond to the sugar (C-1′) (शर्करा (C-1′) से बंध) — Each base is joined to C-1′ of deoxyribose in its own strand; the backbones run on the outside.
