Parts and what they mean
- n-Butylamine (butan-1-amine), 1°: 350.8 K (n-ब्यूटिलऐमीन (ब्यूटेन-1-ऐमीन), 1°: 350.8 K) — Two N–H hydrogens → most H-bonding among the isomeric amines → highest b.p. of the three amines.
- Diethylamine (N-ethylethanamine), 2°: 329.3 K (डाइएथिलऐमीन (N-एथिलएथेनेमीन), 2°: 329.3 K) — Only one N–H → less association than the 1° isomer.
- N,N-Dimethylethanamine, 3°: 310.5 K (N,N-डाइमेथिलएथेनेमीन, 3°: 310.5 K) — No N–H → no intermolecular H-bonding → lowest b.p. of the three amines.
- 2-Methylbutane (alkane): 300.8 K (2-मेथिलब्यूटेन (ऐल्केन): 300.8 K) — Non-polar; only weak van der Waals forces → lowest of all.
- Butan-1-ol (alcohol): 390.3 K (ब्यूटेन-1-ऑल (ऐल्कोहॉल): 390.3 K) — O (3.5) is more electronegative than N (3.0): O–H···O bonds are stronger than N–H···N, so the alcohol boils highest.
- Boiling point axis (K) (क्वथनांक अक्ष (K)) — The axis starts at 280 K so that the differences are easy to see.
