Parts and their functions

• Mother: XX (माता: XX) — Women have a perfect pair of sex chromosomes, both X.
• Father: XY (पिता: XY) — Men have a mismatched pair: a normal-sized X and a short Y.
• Eggs (all X) (अंड (सभी X)) — Every egg carries one X, so every child gets X from the mother.
• Sperms (X or Y) (शुक्राणु (X या Y)) — Half the sperms carry X, half carry Y.
• XX → girl (XX → लड़की) — Egg (X) + sperm with X.
• XY → boy (XY → लड़का) — Egg (X) + sperm with Y. The father's chromosome decides the sex.
