Resistors in seriesश्रेणीक्रम में प्रतिरोधक
NCERT Fig 11.6 · interactive diagram
Parts and their functions
- Resistor R₁ (प्रतिरोधक R₁) — V₁ = IR₁. The same current I flows through every resistor in series.
- Resistor R₂ (प्रतिरोधक R₂) — V₂ = IR₂. Potential difference divides: V = V₁ + V₂ + V₃.
- Resistor R₃ (प्रतिरोधक R₃) — V₃ = IR₃. Equivalent resistance Rs = R₁ + R₂ + R₃ (more than the largest).
- Ammeter (ऐमीटर) — Shows the same reading wherever it is placed in a series circuit.
- Battery (बैटरी) — Total potential difference V across the combination.
- Plug key (प्लग कुंजी) — Closes the circuit. One break anywhere stops the current everywhere.
