Parts and their functions

• Convex (converging) lens (उत्तल (अभिसारी) लेंस) — Thicker at the middle. Focal length positive.
• Object AB (beyond 2F₁) (बिंब AB (2F₁ से परे)) — Here 25 cm from the lens, f = 10 cm (NCERT Exercise 10, drawn to scale).
• Parallel ray → through F₂ (समांतर किरण → F₂ से होकर) — A ray parallel to the principal axis passes through the principal focus on the other side.
• Ray through optical centre O → undeviated (प्रकाशिक केंद्र O से किरण → बिना विचलन) — A ray through the optical centre goes straight on.
• Image A′B′ (प्रतिबिंब A′B′) — Between F₂ and 2F₂, v = +16.7 cm, height −3.3 cm: real, inverted, diminished.
