Parts and their functions

• Oxygen atom (ऑक्सीजन परमाणु) — 6 valence electrons, needs 2. It shares one electron with each H.
• Hydrogen atom (हाइड्रोजन परमाणु) — Needs only 1 electron, so two H atoms are needed for one O.
• Two shared pairs = two single bonds (दो साझा युग्म = दो एकल आबंध) — O now has an octet and each H has 2 electrons → H₂O is a covalent compound.
