Parts and their functions

• Extreme position A (चरम स्थिति A) — Bob momentarily at rest: kinetic energy 0, potential energy maximum.
• Mean (lowest) position B (माध्य (निम्नतम) स्थिति B) — Fastest here: kinetic energy maximum, potential energy minimum. KE + PE is the same as at A.
• Other extreme C (दूसरी चरम स्थिति C) — Rises to (almost) the same height as A — mechanical energy is conserved. Air friction slowly reduces the swing.
