Parts and their functions

• Ramp of length L (L लंबाई का रैम्प) — Pushing a load up a long gentle slope needs less force than lifting it straight up, but over a longer distance.
• Height h (ऊँचाई h) — Work done either way ≈ mgh (no friction): F′ × L = mg × h.
• Effort F′ and MA (प्रयास F′ और MA) — MA = load/effort = L/h = 50/30 ≈ 1.67 (Example 7.12). Longer ramp → larger MA. That is why hill roads wind around.
