Parts and their functions
- Axes (अक्ष) — Time on X-axis, velocity on Y-axis.
- Horizontal line (क्षैतिज रेखा) — Velocity constant, slope zero → acceleration zero (a fast bus can have zero acceleration).
- Rising straight line (ऊपर उठती सीधी रेखा) — Velocity increases by equal amounts in equal times → constant acceleration, in direction of velocity.
- Falling straight line (नीचे गिरती सीधी रेखा) — Velocity decreases uniformly → constant acceleration opposite to velocity (negative).
- Slope = acceleration (ढलान = त्वरण) — a = (v − u) ÷ (t₂ − t₁), e.g. (10 − 5) ÷ (20 − 10) = 0.5 m/s².
- Area = displacement (क्षेत्रफल = विस्थापन) — Area between the line and time axis, e.g. rectangle 5 × 10 = 50 m + triangle ½ × 10 × 5 = 25 m → 75 m.
