Parts and their functions
- Dendrites (द्रुमिकाएँ) — Short branches that receive signals from other neurons.
- Cell body (कोशिका काय) — Contains the nucleus and controls the cell’s activities.
- Nucleus (केंद्रक) — Control centre of the neuron.
- Axon (तंत्रिकाक्ष) — Long fibre carrying messages away from the cell body.
- Axon terminals (तंत्रिकाक्ष सिरे) — Pass the message on to other cells (neurons, muscles, glands).
- Direction of message (संदेश की दिशा) — Dendrites → cell body → axon → axon terminals.
