Parts and their functions

• Skeletal (striated) muscle (कंकाल (रेखित) पेशी) — Attached to bones; long, cylindrical, unbranched, multinucleate fibres with light and dark bands; voluntary — running, writing, lifting.
• Smooth muscle (चिकनी (अरेखित) पेशी) — Spindle-shaped, single nucleus, no striations; in stomach and intestines; involuntary slow continuous movements (digestion).
• Cardiac muscle (हृद पेशी) — Only in heart; cylindrical, branched, one nucleus, faint striations; contracts rhythmically all life without fatigue.
