Parts and their functions
- Parent yeast cell (जनक यीस्ट कोशिका) — Unicellular fungus. In warm sugar solution it becomes active and multiplies.
- Buds (मुकुल) — Small outgrowths that grow and may stay attached as a chain before separating.
- Parent hydra (जनक हाइड्रा) — A simple multicellular animal of fresh water.
- Tentacles (स्पर्शक) — Catch food. A grown bud develops its own tentacles.
- Bud (मुकुल) — Repeated mitotic divisions at one spot form a bud, which grows and detaches as a new hydra — a clone of the parent.
