Parts and their functions

• Displacement x = A cos ωt (विस्थापन x = A cos ωt) — Maximum ±A at the ends, zero at the mean position.
• Velocity v = −ωA sin ωt (वेग v = −ωA sin ωt) — Leads x by π/2 (a quarter period): maximum ωA at the mean position, zero at the ends. v = ±ω√(A² − x²).
• Acceleration a = −ω²x (त्वरण a = −ω²x) — Opposite in phase to x (phase difference π): maximum ω²A at the ends, zero at the mean position.
• Period T = 2π/ω (आवर्तकाल T = 2π/ω) — All three repeat after one period; frequency ν = 1/T.
