Parts and their functions

• Vector A (सदिश A) — Magnitude A = √(Aₓ² + A_y²), direction θ = tan⁻¹(A_y/Aₓ).
• x-component Aₓ = A cos θ (x-घटक Aₓ = A cos θ) — Projection of A on the x-axis; it is a number (can be negative).
• y-component A_y = A sin θ (y-घटक A_y = A sin θ) — Projection of A on the y-axis.
• Angle θ with x-axis (x-अक्ष से कोण θ) — Measured anticlockwise from +x.
• Unit vectors î and ĵ (एकांक सदिश î और ĵ) — Magnitude 1, no unit; they only give direction (along +x and +y).
