Parts and their functions

• Potential energy U = ½kx² (स्थितिज ऊर्जा U = ½kx²) — Zero at the mean position, maximum ½kA² at the ends.
• Kinetic energy K = ½k(A² − x²) (गतिज ऊर्जा K = ½k(A² − x²)) — Maximum ½kA² at the mean position, zero at the ends.
• Total energy E = ½kA² (कुल ऊर्जा E = ½kA²) — K + U is constant — mechanical energy is conserved (no damping).
• Turning points ±A (वापसी बिंदु ±A) — All the energy is potential there; the particle momentarily stops.
