Parts and their functions

• Frictionless wall (घर्षणरहित दीवार) — Can push only perpendicular to itself: F₁ is horizontal.
• Ladder AB, 3 m (सीढ़ी AB, 3 m) — Foot 1 m from the wall, so the top is BC = √(9 − 1) = 2√2 m high.
• Weight at the centre (केंद्र पर भार) — W = 20 × 9.8 = 196 N at the midpoint (0.5 m horizontally from A).
• Wall reaction F₁ (दीवार की प्रतिक्रिया F₁) — Moments about A: F₁ × 2√2 = 196 × 0.5 ⇒ F₁ = 34.6 N.
• Normal reaction of floor (फर्श की अभिलंब प्रतिक्रिया) — Vertical balance: N = W = 196 N.
• Friction at the floor (फर्श पर घर्षण) — Horizontal balance: F = F₁ = 34.6 N, towards the wall.
• Dimensions (माप) — Foot distance 1 m, height of top 2√2 m.
