Parts and their functions
- Enclosed liquid (बंद द्रव) — Pascal’s law: a pressure change is transmitted undiminished to every part of the fluid and the walls.
- Small piston, force F₁ (छोटा पिस्टन, बल F₁) — Creates pressure P = F₁/A₁. It moves through a larger distance.
- Large piston, force F₂ (बड़ा पिस्टन, बल F₂) — F₂ = P A₂ = (A₂/A₁)F₁ — force multiplied. Volume conserved: A₁L₁ = A₂L₂, so it rises less (no free energy).
- Same pressure (same level) (समान दाब (समान स्तर)) — Points at the same height in a connected liquid at rest are at the same pressure. Used in hydraulic lifts and brakes.
