Parts and their functions

• a–t: constant −g (a–t: नियत −g) — Acceleration is −9.8 m s⁻² all the time (air resistance neglected).
• v–t: straight line, v = −gt (v–t: सीधी रेखा, v = −gt) — Speed grows by 9.8 m s⁻¹ every second, downward.
• y–t: parabola, y = −½gt² (y–t: परवलय, y = −½gt²) — Distance fallen grows as t²: 4.9 m, 19.6 m, 44.1 m after 1, 2, 3 s.
