Parts and what they mean
- The line (रेखा) — One line, many equivalent equations: 3x + 4y − 12 = 0.
- x-intercept a (x-अंतःखंड a) — Where the line cuts the x-axis: put y = 0 → x = 4.
- y-intercept b (y-अंतःखंड b) — Where the line cuts the y-axis: put x = 0 → y = 3. In y = mx + c this is c.
- Intercept form (अंतःखंड रूप) — x/a + y/b = 1 with a = 4, b = 3.
- Slope-intercept form (ढाल-अंतःखंड रूप) — y = mx + c: slope m = −3/4, y-intercept c = 3.
