Parts and their functions

• Covalent radius (सहसंयोजक त्रिज्या) — Half the distance between the nuclei of two atoms joined by a single bond. Cl–Cl = 199 pm → r(Cl) = 99 pm. Used for non-metals.
• Metallic radius (धात्विक त्रिज्या) — Half the distance between neighbouring nuclei in a metal crystal. Cu–Cu = 256 pm → 128 pm.
