Parts and their functions

• Solid (ठोस) — Particles held very close in an orderly fashion; they can only vibrate. Definite volume and definite shape.
• Liquid (द्रव) — Particles close to each other but can move around. Definite volume, but takes the shape of the container.
• Gas (गैस) — Particles far apart and move easily and fast. Neither definite volume nor definite shape — fills the whole container.
