Gay Lussac’s law: 2 volumes H₂ + 1 volume O₂ → 2 volumes water vapourगे-लुसैक नियम: 2 आयतन H₂ + 1 आयतन O₂ → 2 आयतन जलवाष्प

Parts and their functions
- Two volumes of hydrogen (हाइड्रोजन के दो आयतन) — 100 mL H₂ reacts with 50 mL O₂: hydrogen volumes are double the oxygen volume.
- One volume of oxygen (ऑक्सीजन का एक आयतन) — Gases combine in simple whole-number ratios by volume (at the same temperature and pressure).
- Two volumes of water vapour (जलवाष्प के दो आयतन) — Avogadro explained it: equal volumes of gases at the same T and P contain equal numbers of molecules — so 2 molecules H₂ + 1 molecule O₂ → 2 molecules H₂O.
