Parts and their functions

• Glucose unit (ग्लूकोज़ इकाई) — Monomer (monosaccharide) of glycogen, starch and cellulose.
• Main chain (मुख्य शृंखला) — Long thread of glucose units joined by glycosidic bonds.
• Branch (शाखा) — Side chains make glycogen highly branched.
• Branch point (शाखा बिंदु) — Where a side chain joins the main chain.
• Non-reducing end (अनपचायी सिरा) — Left end of the chain.
• Reducing end (अपचायी सिरा) — Right end of the chain.
