Parts and their functions

• pH (pH) — Activity highest at the optimum pH; falls in more acidic or more basic conditions.
• Temperature (ताप) — Rises up to the optimum, then the enzyme is denatured and activity drops fast.
• Substrate concentration (क्रियाधार सांद्रता) — Velocity rises with [S] and then levels off.
• Vmax (Vmax) — Maximum velocity — no further rise because no free enzyme molecules remain.
