Parts and what they mean
- Voltage v (वोल्टता v) — v = vm sin ωt.
- Current i (धारा i) — i = im sin(ωt − π/2), lagging by π/2.
- Instantaneous power p = vi (तात्क्षणिक शक्ति p = vi) — p = −(im vm/2) sin 2ωt: it oscillates at twice the source frequency.
- Positive power (धनात्मक शक्ति) — While |i| grows, the source feeds energy into the magnetic field of the coil.
- Negative power (ऋणात्मक शक्ति) — While |i| falls, the coil returns the same energy to the source.
- Time axis (ωt) (समय अक्ष (ωt)) — The green and red areas are equal, so the average is zero.
