Parts and what they mean
- Voltage phasor V (वोल्टता फ़ेज़र V) — An arrow of length vm rotating anticlockwise at angular speed ω.
- Current phasor I (धारा फ़ेज़र I) — Length im; for a resistor it lies along V at every instant.
- Vertical projections (ऊर्ध्वाधर प्रक्षेप) — vm sin ωt₁ and im sin ωt₁ — the actual values of v and i at that instant.
- Angle ωt₁ (कोण ωt₁) — The angle the phasors have turned through at time t₁.
- Rotation at ω (anticlockwise) (ω से घूर्णन (वामावर्त)) — One full turn = one cycle of the ac.
- v versus ωt (v बनाम ωt) — Traced by the projection of V as it rotates.
- i versus ωt (i बनाम ωt) — Traced by the projection of I.
- Instant t₁ (क्षण t₁) — Dots = the projections in (a): the same values.
- Phasor axes (फ़ेज़र अक्ष) — Angles are measured anticlockwise from the horizontal.
- Time axis (ωt) (समय अक्ष (ωt)) — Horizontal axis of graph (b).
