Parts and what they mean
- Current phasor I (धारा फ़ेज़र I) — The same current flows through all three, so I is the common reference.
- Voltage across R (VR) (R पर वोल्टता (VR)) — Parallel to I. Length vRm = im R.
- Voltage across L (VL) (L पर वोल्टता (VL)) — π/2 AHEAD of I. Length vLm = im XL.
- Voltage across C (VC) (C पर वोल्टता (VC)) — π/2 BEHIND I. Length vCm = im XC.
- VC + VL combined (VC + VL संयुक्त) — VC and VL are opposite, so they combine into one phasor of length |vCm − vLm|.
- Source voltage phasor V (स्रोत वोल्टता फ़ेज़र V) — Hypotenuse of the right triangle: vm² = vRm² + (vCm − vLm)².
- Phase angle φ (कला कोण φ) — Angle between V and VR (i.e. I): tan φ = (vCm − vLm)/vRm = (XC − XL)/R.
- Axes (अक्ष) — The whole picture rotates anticlockwise at ω; shapes and angles stay fixed.
