Parts and what they mean
- Positive plate (+Q) (धन पट्टिका (+Q)) — Charge density σ = Q/A on the inner surface.
- Negative plate (−Q) (ऋण पट्टिका (−Q)) — Equal and opposite charge.
- Field between the plates (पट्टिकाओं के बीच क्षेत्र) — σ/2ε₀ from each plate, adding up between them; uniform except near the edges, where the lines bend outward (fringing).
- Field outside = 0 (बाहर क्षेत्र = 0) — Outside, the two plates’ fields cancel.
- Separation d (दूरी d) — Smaller d → larger capacitance.
- Plate area A (पट्टिका क्षेत्रफल A) — Larger A → larger capacitance.
