Parts and what they mean

• Light bulb (विद्युत बल्ब) — Its glow shows how much current flows (and voltage it gets).
• Open coil inductor (खुली कुंडली (प्रेरक)) — Reactance XL = ωL, in series with the bulb.
• Iron rod being inserted (अंदर डाली जा रही लोहे की छड़) — Iron magnetises and strengthens B inside the coil, so L increases.
• Key (switch) (कुंजी (स्विच)) — Closed first; the rod is inserted after some time.
• AC source (ac स्रोत) — With dc, the rod would make no lasting difference — reactance is an ac effect.
