Parts and what they mean

• y = x^2, an even function (y = x^2, एक सम फलन) — f(-x) = (-x)^2 = x^2 = f(x): the graph is symmetric about the y-axis.
• Area from −a to 0 (−a से 0 तक का क्षेत्रफल) — Mirror image of the right half, so it is the same area.
• Area from 0 to a (0 से a तक का क्षेत्रफल) — So \int_{-a}^{a} f(x)\,dx = 2\int_0^a f(x)\,dx. Here (a = 1.5): 2 \times 1.125 = 2.25.
• Symmetric limits −a and a (सममित सीमाएँ −a और a) — P₇ works only when the limits are −a to a.
• x-axis (x-अक्ष) — The horizontal number line; inputs x are read here.
• y-axis (y-अक्ष) — The vertical number line; outputs y = f(x) are read here.
• Origin O(0, 0) (मूल बिंदु O(0, 0)) — Where the two axes cross.
