Parts and their functions
- Testis (वृषण) — Makes sperms and the hormone testosterone.
- Scrotum (वृषण कोष) — Holds the testes outside the abdomen — sperm formation needs a lower temperature.
- Vas deferens (शुक्रवाहिका) — Carries sperms from the testis; unites with a tube from the urinary bladder.
- Seminal vesicle (शुक्राशय) — Adds secretion: sperms get a fluid for easy transport and nutrition.
- Prostate gland (प्रोस्टेट ग्रंथि) — Adds secretion to the fluid carrying sperms.
- Urethra (मूत्रमार्ग) — Common passage for sperms and urine.
- Penis (शिश्न) — The urethra runs through it; delivers sperms.
- Urinary bladder (मूत्राशय) — Stores urine (part of the excretory system shown for position).
- Ureter (मूत्रवाहिनी) — Brings urine from the kidney to the bladder.
