Parts and what they mean

• y = sin x (y = sin x) — Starts at 0, max 1 at π/2, 0 at π, min −1 at 3π/2, back to 0 at 2π. Range [−1, 1].
• y = cos x (y = cos x) — Starts at 1, 0 at π/2, −1 at π, 0 at 3π/2, 1 at 2π. It is the sine wave shifted left by π/2.
• Period 2π (आवर्तकाल 2π) — Both repeat every 2π: sin(2nπ + x) = sin x, cos(2nπ + x) = cos x.
