Parts and what they mean
- z = x + iy at P(x, y) (z = x + iy, बिंदु P(x, y)) — Here z = 3 + 2i is drawn at (3, 2).
- Conjugate z̄ = x − iy at Q(x, −y) (संयुग्मी z̄ = x − iy, बिंदु Q(x, −y)) — Change the sign of the imaginary part only: 3 − 2i.
- Modulus |z| = √(x² + y²) (मापांक |z| = √(x² + y²)) — Distance of P from O. Here |3 + 2i| = √13. Also |z̄| = |z| and z·z̄ = |z|².
- Mirror image (दर्पण प्रतिबिंब) — Q is the reflection of P in the real axis.
