Parts and what they mean
- A = 2 + 4i → point (2, 4) (A = 2 + 4i → बिंदु (2, 4)) — Real part 2 goes along the real axis, imaginary part 4 goes up.
- B = −2 + 3i → (−2, 3) (B = −2 + 3i → (−2, 3)) — Negative real part: the point is left of the imaginary axis.
- C = 0 + 1i = i → (0, 1) (C = 0 + 1i = i → (0, 1)) — A purely imaginary number lies ON the imaginary axis.
- D = 2 + 0i = 2 → (2, 0) (D = 2 + 0i = 2 → (2, 0)) — A real number lies ON the real axis.
- E = −5 − 2i → (−5, −2) (E = −5 − 2i → (−5, −2)) — Both parts negative: third quadrant.
- F = 1 − 2i → (1, −2) (F = 1 − 2i → (1, −2)) — Positive real part, negative imaginary part: fourth quadrant.
- Real axis (x-axis) (वास्तविक अक्ष (x-अक्ष)) — Numbers of the form a + i0.
- Imaginary axis (y-axis) (काल्पनिक अक्ष (y-अक्ष)) — Numbers of the form 0 + ib.
