Le Chatelier’s principle: effect of changesला-शातैलिए सिद्धांत: परिवर्तनों का प्रभाव

Parts and their functions
- Concentration (सांद्रता) — Adding a reactant (or removing a product) makes Q < K, so the equilibrium shifts forward to use it up.
- Pressure (दाब) — Higher pressure (smaller volume) favours the side with fewer gas moles: 4 → 2 here, so more NH₃. No effect when Δng = 0.
- Temperature (ताप) — Only temperature changes K. Heating favours the endothermic direction; for this exothermic reaction K decreases on heating.
- Catalyst (उत्प्रेरक) — Speeds up forward and backward reactions equally — equilibrium is reached sooner but its position and K do not change.
- Inert gas (अक्रिय गैस) — At constant volume an inert gas does not change the partial pressures or concentrations, so there is no shift.
